JWH Stud

Preserving the past. Breeding the future.

JWH Stud

arises from a deep passion for the Arabian Horse and the desire to create something over time that could represent our idea of this extraordinary breed. For us, JWH Stud is not simply a breeding operation. It is a project born from passion, grown through experience, and driven by the will to preserve what we love about the Arabian Horse, while simultaneously looking to the future.

Our origins

Angelo grew up among horses. The passion for the Arabian Horse began in his family when his parents started their journey in breeding this breed. From a young age, he was fascinated by its elegance, character, and extraordinary sensitivity. What initially started as a passion became, over the years, a fundamental part of his life and an increasingly conscious journey into the world of breeding and showing. Federica, on the other hand, was introduced to the equestrian world at a very young age, starting to ride at the age of five or six and dedicating many years to show jumping. Her meeting with Angelo also brought her into contact with the Arabian Horse. In 2015, Federica first entered this world and was profoundly captivated. Today, Federica has a degree in Dentistry, and while horses do not represent her profession, they continue to be one of her greatest passions.
Her equestrian journey allows her to experience the Arabian Horse through riding, combining her experience in the tradition of English riding with the elegance and sensitivity characteristic of the Arabian breed.

Our philosophy

We believe that breeding means having a vision. A vision that is not limited to the individual animal but looks towards future generations and the characteristics we want to preserve and develop over time. Our breeding programme stems from the search for individuals capable of representing the Arabian Horse in its entirety: typiness, elegance, correctness, movement, presence, and character. At the same time, we firmly believe in the importance of origins. The future is beautiful when there is respect for the past. For this reason, the search for new lines and individuals goes hand in hand with the desire to keep alive those characteristics and bloodlines that have contributed to building the history of the breed and that, in our view, deserve to be preserved.
Each breeding choice is thus the result of study, observation, and experience, but also of an essential component for us: emotion.

Mizar di Loris

Every breeding operation has certain horses that represent more than just a breeding choice. For JWH Stud, one of these individuals is Mizar di Loris (Piruet x Emanthenae), the first Arabian mare we chose and purchased together. A mare of Polish lineage, Mizar represents a fundamental milestone in our history. From the first meeting with her, a special bond was formed, difficult to describe in mere words. There are horses that leave a particular mark on our lives, regardless of pedigree, results, or their careers. Mizar has been, and still is, one of these horses. She has been a companion, a discovery, and the starting point of a project that has grown alongside us over the years. For this reason, she holds a special place in the history of JWH Stud and in our breeding programme.

Breeding with a vision

Our goal is not simply to breed a beautiful horse. We want to breed our Arabian Horse. A horse capable of expressing typiness and elegance, accompanied by structural quality, movement, and character. An individual that can be appreciated in the ring, but also knows how to express its beauty in free movement and in its relationship with humans. Showing represents an important part of our journey and a valuable tool for comparison and growth.
The results are a source of pride, but they do not represent the final destination.
The true goal is to build a coherent family of horses over time, in which each generation can represent a step forward compared to the previous one.

More than horses

JWH Stud was born from horses, but it has become much more than that. It is made up of mornings in the stable, hours spent observing our individuals, difficult decisions, waiting, emotions, and small daily moments that, in the end, build a great story. We believe that taking care of a horse means first and foremost respecting it. The Arabians, with their particular sensitivity, teach us every day how important it is to learn to listen, observe, and understand.
This is the relationship we strive to build with every horse that lives with us.

Looking ahead

Our gaze is directed towards the future.
We continue to study, to learn about new bloodlines, to observe new subjects, and to question our own choices, with the aim of continually improving our breeding programme.
However, we know that building a breeding operation takes time. Generations cannot be rushed, and every choice made today will have consequences for the future.
For this reason, we choose to grow patiently, upholding the principles that gave rise to JWH Stud: passion, respect, research, and vision. Because breeding does not merely mean creating the horse of the present. It means leaving something for the future.
